pastor notes julyThanks to everyone who returned a Congregational Survey!  The survey results will be a big aid to the Pastor Nominating Committee as they march forward.  On Sunday, July 11th, the results of the Congregational Survey will be shared with the congregation.  More details about that will be announced.

I’m looking forward to getting away for a few days on a family trip.  We’re headed to the Lake Erie Islands from July 5-9, trying to find some cooler weather!  I will be here on the Sundays before and after my trip, but will be out of the office the week of July 5th.

Independence Day is on Sunday this year!  Whatever your holiday weekend plans are, find one hour to join us at 10:15.  Did you know that Thomas Jefferson wrote most of the Declaration of Independence on his “laptop”?  He used a small writing desk that fit on his lap!

After a bit of a hiatus, the Worship Time with Children has returned!  This is one of the most enjoyable (and unpredictable) parts of our worship service.

Everyone really enjoyed having Jackson Bower and Hudson Stahl play a cello/violin duet for us on June 13th.  They are very talented and both are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Glasgow, Kentucky.  One of the strengths of our denomination is our willingness to be “connectional”.

That’s all for this month!  Let me know if I can ever be of help to you!
