What we know about Mary and her situation

The destiny of her child, Jesus

Her's is a song of generosity and surrender.

• She understood who Jesus is.
• She understood who she is becoming.

Verses 46-56

Mary's Song

• God sees.
• He hears the humble.
• He lifts and feeds the hungry.
• The rich are empty.
• The meek will inherit the earth.
• Things will change!

Mary's obedience to God:

• "I am the Lord's servant.  May it be to me as you have said."

Jesus' obedience to His Father:

• "Not my will, but yours be done."
