I’ve gone through the process of writing blog posts and articles for the newsletter and then keeping them filed away.  For different reasons I feel that they are not print worthy.  Maybe someday I’ll put them all together and write a book entitled “Not Print Worthy”.  Just kidding of course.  It’s happened again this month.  I write and then I read through it, and it’s like, "How does that flow together?  What’s your point?  Where’s God leading you in this?" Maybe it’s my being indecisive or not, but I find myself being challenged to do better.  Do you ever struggle this way?

So this month I am going to share with you that I’ve got nothing.  But God has everything!  I’m hopelessly lost.  But God found me and not only called me, but cleaned me up and gave me ownership in His family!  My thoughts, words, and actions fall short daily, but God never stops thinking of me.  His words give me hope, purpose and truth!

I have found that the best of me is God in me.  Every time I’m honest instead of dishonest, I’ve allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me.  Every time I’m generous instead of selfish, I’ve allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me.  Every time I take time for others instead of just thinking of myself, I’ve allowed the Holy Spirit to guide me.  And every time I love instead of hate, I know that the Holy Spirit has led me in that.  In Genesis we read that daily God spent time with Adam and Eve.  He was there with them and He wanted to be!  God is still seeking to be with us!  Please know that our everyday lives are important to our Creator, Sustainer, Teacher, Savior, Lord - our Everything!  He loves you and will never stop loving you, so let Him guide you in all that you do.  And don’t worry too much about those times you fail, fall short, or draw a blank.  Just pause and reflect on who you are and Whose you are, and remember that our performance doesn’t determine our salvation, justification, or sanctification.  We have been saved by grace so none of us may boast but that we all would realize the power, peace and purpose of lives in Christ Jesus our Lord!  God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good!

“When Jesus heard this, he told them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor--sick people do.  I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners."  Mark 2:17

“I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.  For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.  May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.”  Philippians 1:9-11

“Always be joyful.  Never stop praying.  Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.  Do not stifle the Holy Spirit.  Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said.  Hold on to what is good.  Stay away from every kind of evil.”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-21
