1 Corinthians 1:18

One day Groucho Marx was getting off an elevator and he happened to meet a clergyman.  The clergyman came up to him, put out his hand and said, "I want to thank you for all the joy you've put into the world."  Groucho shook hands and replied, "Thank you, Reverend.  I want to thank you for all the joy you've taken out of it."

Gerry hit Father Dave with a theological baseball question, “Who does God root for when the Padres play the Angels?”

From Judah Smith, “I think sour Christian should be a contradiction in terms.  Holiness results in happiness, and happiness is an expression of holiness.  The two go together.  I am happier because I am holy, and it’s easier to be holy because I am happy.  Because of the Good News, because of Jesus, I can be both happy and holy.  What a concept!”
