Hebrews 13:1-8

Can you recall the last time you really enjoyed a good time with someone?

How is your Christian with-ness?

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”  [Proverb 17:17]

“By this we know love, that Jesus Christ laid down His life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.”  [1 John 3:16]

What does Christian with-ness look like?  Hint - read Hebrews 13:1-8

Let brotherly love continue:

  1. Show hospitality to strangers.
  2. Remember those in prison.
  3. Remember those who are mistreated.
  4. Let your lifestyle be an example to others.
  5. Honor marriage.
  6. Be generous and content.

Recognize God’s gift of Himself – that He has promised to never leave or forsake us.

Encourage your leaders and imitate them (with a discerning spirit).

A Pastor's Prayer

Lord, You have given me a great blessing and an awesome responsibility!  Help me to be worthy.  Grant me the ability to counsel wisely and well.  Grace me with strength to practice what I preach and courage to live always in Your light, with opportunities to lead others to You.  And may everything I do be done in Your name, Lord.  Amen.
