Psalm 139:1-16

Everyone matters to God.

We place a high value on our own lives.

The world seems to value life less and less.

“So God created humankind in His image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.”  [Genesis 1:27]

“…we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  [Ephesians 2:10]

We are valuable because God knows us.

  • Luke 12:7
  • Psalm 139:1-10

We are valuable even before we are born.

  • Psalm 139:13-16
  • Jeremiah 1:4-5

If life is to be sanctified (considered holy) according to God, we need to recognize the value He places on life – all life – from beginning to end.

“He Himself bore our sins in His body on a tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness.  By His wounds, you have been healed.”  [1 Peter 2:24]
