Ephesians 6:14

"Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness."  Ephesians 6:14

On our best day, do we feel like we can stand our ground in our own righteousness?

The breastplate provides protection for the innards.  The Christian's breastplate is the righteousness of God.

Satan's attacks require God's defense, not our own.

None of us stand on our own merits.  We live on the ground of God's imputed righteousness; righteousness that God gives us by grace.

"But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not without effect."  1 Corinthians 15:10

Are you still trying to be good enough to impress God?  "Stand your ground...wear the body armor of God's righteousness."
